About Me

I am a breaker of things at Matasano Security, an application security consultancy. My experience includes penetration testing, cryptographic protocol analysis and design, security research, and system and network administration.

Prior to joining Matasano I was a researcher and PhD student at the Stevens Institute of Technology working with Professor Susanne Wetzel on my dissertation in the area of applied cryptography and privacy. During my time at Stevens, I presented and published my work at several international security conferences. In addition to research, I was actively involved in various software development projects including desktop, mobile, and web applications.

As a co-founder and CTO of a web hosting and web development company, I have more than twelve years of experience with Internet technologies. In particular, I was responsible for designing and managing the technical infrastructure as well as developing web applications and new services.

I hold a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the Stevens Institute of Technology and a Masters degree in Physics from Rutgers University.
